My most recent hobby/time drain has been getting into Dungeons Dragons! I was huge into fantasy novels and the like back in my grade school days but was raised in one of those Southern Christian households that thought D was tantamount to Satan worship. (I had to sneak Harry Potter books rented from the library into the house to read them.) I been with an active weekly group for about 6 months now and I really loving it! Before even getting into a game, there so many options to explore with building character types, background stories, finding or designing a miniature, finding the perfect artwork, etc.! And in game, the ability to go anywhere and do anything is a really great exercise for my creativity muscles, which often go dormant in my highly analytical day job. For anyone interested, I definitely recommend listening to a podcast and seeing if it strikes your interest.
